June 2017 worshop

I decided that making different cards for each workshop was a bit too much. So now I am making three cards each month for all the workshops I do in that month. Here are the cards for June.

The dragonfly one says, “Happy Mother’s Day”. We can make it say something else seeing as mother’s day is over.

The tall Calypso Coral one on the right is one that we made at On Stage convention in November. It uses sale-a-bration colouring paper which is no longer available. However, there are different colouring pages available in the new 2017-2018 catalogue, so this card is still great for teaching how to use the water colour pencils.

Beginner cards

I put together 12 cards for beginner classes. If you would like to make some of these cards, pick three of them. Then let me know what day works well for you and we can book a workshop for $12 per person. Bring as many people as you can. You will get one of the new catalogues for free, your workshop fee is waved, and you can pick a small prize from my prize bag. Here are the cards:

Card Organizer book

Inevitably, there is at least one birthday I miss. My family is getting larger and the number of missed birthdays seems to be increasing. So I came up with a book to help me have a card for all the birthdays and other events that come up every year. I think I’m going to decorate it a bit differently… I’d like it to be a bit brighter. We’ll see.

On one side, there is the month with a line for every day so I can write in all the birthdays on their day. That way, they are always in order and I can easily see when they are coming up. On the other side, there is a pocket for me to put cards in. That way, I can have a day of making cards and then stick them in the book beside the birthday they are for. I will always know where my cards are. I will always have a card ready. I will (hopefully) never miss another birthday.

If you would like to make your own book, I’m holding a class on Friday, January 30th at 6:30 pm. The cost is $30. Please RSVP to lora-lynne@frewing.ca by January 21st so I can order the supplies you will need, and give you directions to my house. You will need to bring a paper cutter with a scoring tool. I will provide everything else.

If you want me to make you one, I can do that. It will cost you $35. So really, you should just come to the class. If you can’t make that night, but still want to come, let me know. If there are enough people in that situation, I can schedule another class.

2014 Open House

I’m having an open house on Sunday, August 17th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. It’s at my place of course. If you need the address please send me an e-mail telling me who you are and what my address is. My e-mail address is:

lora-lynne@frewing.ca.

There will be a bunch of discontinued product for sale, a free make and take (picture below), a door prize, food and lots of fun. The new catalogue will be available to look at, purchase or take home for free if you book a workshop. Please let me know if you are going to come so I can have enough make and take cards prepped for everyone.

If you want to be entered into the door prize draw, here’s what you need to do:

  • 1 entry for showing up and having fun
  • 2 entries for buying a catalogue
  • 3 entries for placing an order
  • 4 entries for bringing a friend who has never been to one of my events before
  • 5 entries for booking a workshop

Hope to see you there!

Designer Paper Class

I hear it all the time. “I’ve got so much paper I don’t know what to do with it all!” I must admit, I might be more guilty of this then most. I’m addicted to pretty paper. So I decided to come up with ways of using it. I mean, that’s what it’s meant for, isn’t it? Now, I feel like it’s time to share my uses with the world.

Come to my “How to Use Designer Paper” class, July 19th from 10 am – 12 noon. We will be making 6 mini cards with envelopes, and two regular sized cards. The cost of the class is $20. If you would like to come but don’t know where I live, just leave a comment and I will get back to you.

Here is the mini card with envelope that we will be making.
